KALAMAZOO COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY ELECTS NEW LEADERSHIP

KALAMAZOO, MI – The Kalamazoo County Republican Party (KGOP) elected its new leadership team last night during their regularly scheduled Executive Committee meeting at The Beacon Club.

David Worthams, of Kalamazoo Township, was elected Chair; Melanie Kurdys, of Portage, was elected Vice-Chair; Stan Runyon, of Portage, was elected Treasurer; and Allan Bickle, of Oshtemo Township, was elected Secretary.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead Kalamazoo County Republicans. We have a chance to build our party and make it competitive in the 2014 elections. We will show our friends and our neighbors how important it is to elect candidates who will be good fiscal stewards of our community so that everyone can have a strong quality of life and be able to make the American Dream come true.”

The leadership team will hold their offices for a term of two years.
