I didn’t vote for Ron Paul or support him during the 2012 Presidential Primaries.  I just didn’t feel that he would be a good fit in the White House because, while he’s correct on the economic problems that the American Federal government faces, he would not have been able to bring the Congress along with him to address the problems … he’d actually exacerbate things.

But now that we’ve reached the lame duck session and we start to hear the farewells of those Members of Congress who have to head out-of-town in the next 8 weeks, having a reminder of that the Federal government must get things under control before we consume ourselves in the madness that is a fiscal cliff.  Ron’s farewell, I think, does just that.

Thanks for your service, Congressman Paul, and thanks for the reminder of the dangers we’re facing.
