A buddy of mine called me a couple of days ago to talk politics of one kind or another. During the conversation he made a West Wing reference in which he suggested that he could be his “Josh Lyman” to my “Jed Bartlet” or something like that in the future.

The thing is, there wouldn’t be a Jed Bartlet with the steadiness and loyalty of Leo McGarry. This scene shows how powerful and important loyalty is in our crazy times. There just aren’t enough Leo’s around anymore.
